Ensure that the Letterglyph pegs will fit into your wood or plastic board by following these steps:

Sizing: Letterglyph pegs are approximately 1.5mm thick, but individual sizes may vary. US pennies also measure around 1.5mm in thickness, but their dimensions can also differ. To test the compatibility, get 5 recently minted US pennies and try inserting them into your board, experimenting with different pennies in various grooves, as some wood boards have varying groove widths.

Wood Board: If the pennies do not fit or are a little too tight, Letterglyph pieces will not work with your board, as the grooves are too small. If the pennies can be easily inserted and removed without resistance or catching, Letterglyph pieces will fit your board. However, you should still be cautious when inserting and removing the pieces to avoid peg breakage. If the pennies are loose and wiggle in the slots, Letterglyph pieces will be loose in your board, potentially leading to slipping, shifting, and movement.

Plastic Board: Before testing the pennies across the entire board, first insert one into a corner of your board to check for any plastic deformation. If there is no damage, proceed with the remaining pennies. If the pennies can be pressed in and removed with just a little pressure, Letterglyph letters will work with your plastic board. If it's difficult to insert a penny or the plastic permanently deforms, then Letterglyph letters are not compatible with your board.

Regarding the Letterglyph pieces themselves, they are interchangeable letters, so there will be slight gaps between them. However, when viewed from a distance, they generally appear as smooth handwriting.

The small lowercase letters (a, e, o, u, etc.) are approximately 0.6" tall, while the taller lowercase letters (h, b, d, etc.), uppercase letters, and numbers (if purchased) are around 1.2" tall.

"Swishes" are included, allowing for some extra flair on the first and last characters.

Due to the script font, the t's or f's and j's or y's may occasionally touch other letters.

All Letterglyph pieces are "pre-separated," so no scissors or cutting is required.
